PURUSHAMEDHA is an anthology of teachings and recollections of the great tantric saint, Sri Sankarsana das Goswami of Vrindavan. A close student of the late Sri Lalita Prasad Thakur, he remained one of the foremost scholars of Vaisnava theology and Vedic wisdom in the late 20th century. Dedicated to the teaching of genuine Vaisnava dharma, Sankarsana's wisdom is both brutal and pragmatic. A must read for all practicing Vaisnava.
Purushamedha Rudra das Goswami Books
One of the first books from Martinet Press that I picked up, and it is an absolute gem. Written by the student of a Vaisnava saint, it reveals the inner teachings of this transgressive (against any sort of mundane or "normal", occidental/Western morals and values) holy man. Anyone with any familiarity with the legendary Aghori sect(s) and their practices will understand a bit better where the author (and, his guru) are coming from (philosophically AND practically). The text focuses primarily on worship of and devotion to Sri Krsna, with the author discussing some common misconceptions, and explaining other uncommon, even rare and uniquely disturbing, practices, within their chosen (or called upon, depending on how you view things...) Path. The book does not however include any "typical occult" rituals, rites or services, save for the Mahamantra.
But this alone should be enough to produce results in the few readers that devote themselves to it. The rites that are included take from both personal experience, of the guru of the author, and the author himself; and, from historical and oral accounts within their tradition of Vaisnavism(?).
Some passages will definitely shock, and others may deeply disturb more fragile/easily offended readers, but the main focus throughout the tome continues to be the Spiritual Liberation of the practitioner, filtered through genuine antinomian praxis and devotional practices.

Purushamedha Rudra das Goswami Books Reviews
This was a great introduction to LHP Vaisnava spirituality. Any who reads this might want to also look at Julius Evola's YOGA OF POWER, which was very helpful in understand a lot of the Vedic wisdom and terminology. Rudra das Goswami is a great writer, and he made me feel like I was actually in Vrindavan at the ashram with Sankarsana das Goswami. After reading this, I would love to try some of the LHP practices, except that the book doesn't really suggest many except for the Hare Krsna mantra. It would be fantastic to see a sequel with some descriptions of magic and sadhana (practices) that you would use in day to day life.
This book is total BS.
I was very excited of the promise of this book... it does bring up some good points but I wish it was a little more in depth. If you're already a devotee or have some knowledge on these topics this book is not not going to be a mind blowing. Can anyone point me in the direction of a book that is more in depth on this strain of vaishnavism??
